Note, I think the general consensus is to avoid the 7 x 10 lathe that they stock in the stores and get the 7 x 12 in the online store.

You can't go wrong, these are good little lathes for the price. I purchased one a few years back as a backup for 10x22 lathe that was being converted to CNC and I find that it is my go-to lathe for quick little projects.
It was originally the 7x10 but since then I changed the base, from Little Machine Shop, to 16"and added a ELS conversion. It's great for small parts and very accurate.
