Is 3am too early?

Not as long as you start gathering fire wood  and have the fire ready when I get there....

Are you staying at your Aunt's?

Terry should be there by 8~8:30 am, yall know where the targets go, just save my spot in the middle of the firing line.

Home safe and sound. Had an awesome time meeting all of you and thanks for all the fun and education. I think I will be making this part of my regular thing as long as you'll have me. I'll make sure to bring a bunch of shoot n see targets next time, and I'll try to avoid hitting the "dang" fence post on my way out next time too. Hope it isn't damaged, if it is let me know I'll come out and replace it. BTW excellent Gumbo, let you wife know I appreciated the lunch.

Good time today as well, even though I did more gawking and talking than shooting. Always good to see old faces and to meet new friends. Thanks for everything Al, and thanks to Mrs. Guenther for the excellent gumbo. (I didn't try the bread pudding.)

Until next time....

Good stuff today. Good friends, good conversation, lot of guns to look at and shoot. A little to windy for the 100 yard line. Sold a couple of guns. Al installed a new GRT-III trigger in one of my old Storms, the one in the Benjamin T.H. stock. Don't touch it till you're ready to shoot. It's nice. Got to try out my new 56th at something more that 25 yards and shoot the Air Hawk Elite I got awhile back and my old Dominator. Got to shoot Geoff's FWB 150. Sweet, I made a triangle of touching holes. Al got the trigger on my Storm about as soft as the 150's.

Missed Jerry and his wife and Little AL. Hope you guys and gal make it next time. Later, Tim.

Had a blast while I could. Managed to make it back in time to not make the wife mad. It was good to see Geoff again, to meet Richard and unfortunate that Jerry and Lil Al wasn't able to make it. Hopefully next time guys. Al, please be sure to thank your wife for me for the gumbo.  ;D
Til next time guys, safe shooting!

Richard, we all do what we can. But if you got to leave early you got to leave. No problem. Just enjoy. I have no plans or real priorities. Just living the dream. Shooting, sex and good food. Me, Al and Chuck got out of there about 6-6:30. I got home about 9-9:30. If anyone wants to know, it's 145 miles from Al's little piece of heaven to my front door. But I go through the woods. You drive trucks as long as I did you hate the interstate highway.

Again though, it was a good day. I got to make myself talk less and shoot more.

How far off of the optical zero are you on the scope when it breaks?

I can take one more turn off of that spring before we get to close to No preload.

Try this scope here, it is rated for magnum springers: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0099XIJKC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=30PBNUOR2JYBY&coliid=I1VORNTZPY54DL

It wasn't that far off from optical zero. I think the no preload won't be a problem actually, throw a spacer or washer at the bottom mabey to add a slight preload.

Learned a valuable lesson today, when assembling my air rifle I should go a little easier with the tightening. I stripped the Stock lug and the pressure tube completely out. So a phone call to Crosman and $25.00 later I have new ones on the way. Got ahold of Al and we're gonna make a little project out of it. I've had this problem all my life with over tightening stuff, my dad used to get so mad at me. I don't think I've ever worked on anything without stripping a "dang" nut bolt screw etc....

Luckily Al will be there for reassembly to make sure I don't try to muscle every darn screw.

Hey Al and Kevin, I ordered that Hammers and was disappointed. The reason I ordered it was I thought it was the same scope as the two I ordered from archie and one from amazon way back and use on my magnums. I just ordered two more from archie. The scope you're talking about is smaller. The view through the scope is too small, the distance between eye relief that's to close and to far away is very narrow. Mil dot reticle seems smaller. It's an inch shorter and the rear part from the mag adj. ring to the eye piece is overall smaller. I ordered it for the 56th but put it on the self and used the UGT off my 135. I'll use it on something smaller. Maybe the new QB 57 I got coming. The two Hammers I just ordered will be coming with the 57 and some other parts and stuff I ordered from archie.. I'm going to use one on the 135 and one on my Mach 12.5 that just broke the scope that came with it.

Archie's are like $59.55.

My 350 Pro Compact came. Elegant in it's simplicity. Later, Tim. Stay frosty.
