Well, just got home from a very safe, educational and fun day of Airgunning at the Fun-Shoot. :D Got to handle and shoot some new (to me) airguns today and this was my bill of fare:

Very solidly made Sheridan pumpers, .25 Hatsan 125 Vortex, custom Crosman FT pistol from MAC 1 (very excellent work from MAC 1) and a Crosman 2300KT. :D

Today, I wanted to figure out once and for all, how many "useful" shots I could get from my Flying Dragon-PCP in .22, with full power tune and a few other custom modifications done by JTB530. With the power on its lowest setting, I was able to get right at 23 to 25 useful shots. Tried to chrony, but the chrony would not cooperate. Based on past information and performance, pretty sure that it is right around 905+fps range, shooting the 15.89-grain JSB pellets. Had a piece of plywood set up at 50-yards and the pellets were punching holes right through it, sending splinters of wood flying out of the back of the wood plank, which was a pretty awesome sight! ;D

Also, got to meet some new and very nice people today as well, and that's always great!

After having cocked the .25 Hatsan 125 around 20 times in a row (not to mention the Titan GP several times), I feel as if my left shoulder/arm will fall off, as I am far from being used to the exercise of cocking such airguns, but do want to commit myself to becoming an efficient shooter of break barrels and hopefully this soreness from cocking the break-barrels, will become a thing of the past after awhile.

Hope/Pray that everyone made it home safe,

Lil Al.

I would like to thank Big Al for inviting Me to take part in the fun shoot. My wife and I had an absolute blast, I believe we have the makings of a legitimate airgun fanatics group. By the way lil Al I am a bit sore from the hundred or so break barrel cocking sequences yesterday. I will post more thoughts later when the fog of last nights Octoberfest party retreats.

The fun shoot was nothing but good stuff. Thanks Big Al for a great place to shoot.

Great meeting Kevin and John and their wives.

I have to use both arms to cock four of the gun I had there. Both my arms are sore this morning. I don't whine, I take ibuprofen.

I think I'm finally getting the full potential from my Diana 470th. 3 bulls at 100 yds. Two holes touching, one a half inch away.

John let me shoot his RWS 54. Three shots at 50yds, three bulls, I'm in love again.

Chuck verified the old BAM B4 I just re-built is a tack driver.

Left the house at 6am, picked-up Little Al in Hilton Head, got to the range at 1030am, left at 7pm, dropped Al off, got home at 1130pm. A very good day.

Tim likes walking too far......but I guess 3 shots in 3/4"at 100 yards would be worth it...hehehe

Big Kudos to Big Al for giving us so much room to shoot in ..... We never thought about it the first time around, but He took the range out to 100 yards the second time we got together and everybody loves going long now

I hadn't shot in ages and had changed or added optics to all my guns and converted the stoeger x20 Tim gave me to gas ram too so I spent a lot of time chasing scopes setings......in the end I shot some of my best springer groups ever with the stoeger and had a blast blasting reactive targets, corks and chalk rounds with my Nervoustrigger HPA'd QB...

Made new shooting friends with Kevin and Brenda and John and Annette, saw some of Little Al's (AeroMagnum) latest cast bullets and proved I'm the only person that can start the lawn mower....was a great day

Video review in above link.

Really not a bad deal at all for a "back-yard plinker".

Did notice some other videos that show some tuning options, power modifications, etc.

Thanks for sharing this,

I've still got a lot of spoons left from the original package of 38 that I picked up at Sam's for under $10.00 and plan to make at least 3 more spoon spinner targets, so that we can at least have one in front of most tables to shoot at more directly.

Probably just do 6 spoons per stand. If I have enough spoons left over, I'll make a 4th.

I will make the stands a lot more sturdy this time. The one we have been shooting at, was the first I had ever made, so it has its short comings.

The next ones will be a lot better though. :D

Thanks!
