MAX LONG-RANGE TARGET DISTANCE?

Al,

What will be the max long-range target distance?

Thanks,

Al.

Longest straight shot will be 175 yards...

I'd be lucky if I could hit the side of a school bus from 175-yards myself! It's nice to know that the long-range is there/available to find out though...very awesome!

Opened the link to the map, but couldn't find the specific location...it just showed all the continents.  Am I doing something wrong?

Well,

lefteyeshot is coming for sure and we will be coming up together! He too has an extensive assortment of air-guns to share and show-off and I look very forward to meeting him and trying out some of his air-guns!

He has never shot a PCP and now will be a great time for him to do so!

Will be a great time! ;D

Respectfully,

Al.

Big Al,

You gave us the dates (days) of the event but not the month. Which month is it? I live in Jacksonville, Fl and am seriously thinking about coming (maybe with a friend). If the event is near Lake Marion I believe it will be about a 5 hr. drive. It takes me about 2 1/2 hrs. to get to the Savannah exit on I95.  Anyway, which month is it?

Thanks,
Tim Weir

Understood.

Al (OleTomCat) has mentioned us having another get together in a month or 2 when it cools off a little bit, so we'll be sure to keep you posted with plenty of advance notice.:-)

Sorry for such short notice for this weekends get together, but this weekends event started off as a spur of the moment kind of thing where a couple of Air-Gunners (both named Al) had decided to get together for some air-gunning on the 1rst or 2nd of August. We then decided, why not ask all GTA Members and friends in the area or whoever wants to come...to come, and we'll make it a 2-day get together!

Thanks,

Al.

Hey Al,

September or October (even November) would be great. I talked to my friend here about coming and he would like to also but this weekend is a little too soon. But please, any future date we would love to come. We both love airguns and have a club here that meets monthly in Yulee, Fl. called N. Florida Shooters. We are sanctioned by the USARB.

Anyway, please keep me in mind for the future. I'll be there.

Thanks,
Tim Weir

That's awesome you have an air-gun club that meets monthly!

I'm sure it'll be in the announcements here on GTA and we'll be sure to pm you as well in advance.

Would love to have ya!:)

Maybe Tim and I can make it to one of your Club's get together...based on Tims (lefteyeshot) most recent post about distance? :D

That would be fun!

More shooting time for me if we did/could!

Al

Ok, latest update: We will be meeting up at in Summerville at the 199A Exit off of I-26, let's say at the Cracker Barrel parking lot.  We should leave there by 8:15~8:30am then drive up the interstate to Exit 187, if anyone wants to meet us there let me know, if not then the next stop will be our little slice of heaven near the lake....

In preparation for this weekends Fun-Shoot Event, I am going to cast and swage another 350-500 rounds of the '.22 AGW CYLINDRICAL DOMED WARRIORS' for us to test fire in the various .22 air-guns that will be there!

Should be plenty! :D

Wow Al n Al....this really took off...

175 yards? at a school bus?...pffff....4 shots with OTC's BT-65 and you'll be able to pick which letter in the school name you're gonna hit next..

when I had that air rifle, I was  hitting 2" pieces of broken shotgun pigeons at 100 yards....with authority too!
so a 6x8 75 yards farther down range is feasible...
