He fired Al's BT65, and had to have a PCP. I wonder what will happen when he fires your Texan.....

I can hardly wait.  I am already lusting for a Texan, or similar.

BTW. Two long flat boxes came to my house today.  Wonder what they might be.  They came from Arkansas.

I'll give a hint. I did not open one, but I took lots of pictures of the other.

Sounds like it's going to be a big day! Lots of new guns to shoot. Darn shame we have to wait 2 more weeks. Don plans to clean and adjust his Varmint before then, but I won't be home till Wednesday, or maybe even Thursday, and I have plans for Friday, so I'll be shooting mine right out of the box. I may wait till I get there to unbox it. It should be a good opportunity to make some comparisons. I FINALLY got my trigger adjusted on my Ram XT.... It's not great trigger, but it's acceptable, and still breaking in a bit. So, you'll have a better idea how it feels. I have heard reasonable comparisons of my rifle to a Hatsan 125. Having fired both, I think I concur

By the way, That "Black Widow" hand pump may make a widow of my wife. After 6 months of using it I will have abs of steel and biceps the size of coffee cans (if I survive).  My next "gun" may be a "shoe box,"

Lemme know what you think.

Oh yeah, bought a Scott 60 Min tank this morning.

I really appreciate the offer.

I looked at some names on the internet.  Looks like the closest to me is a Dive Shop on Alpine Rd. in Columbia. But, I don't anything about them or any other sources in the Midlands.

Even though I SCUBA dived, I always rented the tank.  And I know to be commercially transportable, the hydro-test must be current.  This is a 2004 tank. It's in good condition, I'm not worried about it. But, I don't know if anyone will fill it without a current hydro.

I am open to any information, suggestions, or recommendations in this area.

The dive shop on Alpine only fills to 3000 psi for $8. Terry's offer can't be beat, and the only other place is a paintball shop in Cayce and they will fill to 4500 for $5 but it must have a current Hydro test.

The place on alpine will fill it but only to about 3k. Doesn't do any good if your gun takes a 3k fill, it'll only do it once at that level. Another dive shop on st. andrews gave me the run around. Columbia fire and safety, on meeting street i think, can do the hydro and visual for about $15 if I remember. There is another fire safety place that I used to get mine filled at there in Elgin. They charged $10 even but still not a full fill. They did it fast and didn't top off once the tank was cooled down.

If your tank is carbon fiber, it has a 15 year life cycle. If it's a 2004, there should be about 3 years left on it. Call the local fire safety place and have it looked at. Then you can bring it by and I can put a full fill on it.

Hey Terry,  Thanks for the info and the offer.  The tank should be here this week which is good, because I am on Staycation.  I will get it over to Meeting St and come find you.

If you go to Elgin (even once) for a fill, you can't be too far away.  Dave and I have a 100yd shooting lane in our backyard.  You and Kevin are welcome to come over most any weekend.

I have to tell you.  I have had enough of hand pumping already.  I can't get a fill soon enough.

Of course, the rifle is in parts on my freezer lid right now.

Just getting to know he a little, that's all.
