Drilling talon ss frame for venting...where?

(1/1)

simko:
Hi Everyone
I have a talon , ive read a few peoiple drill holes in the frame under the handguard to vent extra air to help make the rifle a bit quieter.
I was curious, do you drill the frame in front of the vented front barrel bushing? (towards the muzzle), or do you do it closer towards the pistol grip?
Want to be sure before i start putting holes in this rifle!

Closer to the grip. I drilled my condor just at the back edge of the ldc. ( I had a 24" barrel ).
Two 1/16" holes, one at 4 o'clock, and one at 8 o'clock were sufficient.
You need to be behind the barrel support.

Just curious; do you already have baffles installed in front of the barrel in the hollow space?
