Going to say that looks too good to be true. It does say it's for an airsoft  rifle  all the optics say for airsoft. I wonder if they do that bypass some regulation or restriction

There are other sellers offering the same scope for around the same price.  I found one that had 20 reviews, 19 of them were 5 stars.  OK, Time to do some reading.  Even though the buyer left some very negative remarks, the review still had 5 stars.  Ummmm. No thanks.

If they don't explain the reticle, who knows what the heck it is.  It could be for a BB gun...lol

Looks very much like a Nikko Sterling scope that was on Amazon last year. Not uncommon for the actual factory to make the same scope with many different brand names. The specs and price do look good, but the return policy states that you must return it to China. For an individual without business rates that could rival the cost of the item itself.

The subtensions are equispaced so it's a fairly simple matter to calibrate the reticle in Chairgun.  Have to then validate the predicted holdovers with actual shooting so it's not an issue in my opinion.

I'm giving it a try.

Please let us know how it turns out. I seriously appreciate a bargain on glass or anything else for that matter.  The reason I brought up the reticle is I purchased the CenterPoint Spectrum 4-12 x 44 first focal plane scope.  The scope is worth the money in every regard except the reticle.  The reticle cannot be explained by anyone including Crossman.  After reading the reviews, I purchased knowing the reticle was a mystery but I would figure it out.  Nope!  LOL...  The clicks are 1/4 MOA and the hold under was mildot (my assumption) so judging by the spacing, the first hold over would be about 1.5 mils.  You know what they say about assuming.  I zeroed 40 yards @850 fps.  On impact, the first hold over was closer to 7 MOA. What?  I thought this has got to be an optical illusion. So I dialed it in counting clicks up to 7 MOA and sure enough, that was close to first hold over.  Pretty useless from 40 to 70 yards without counting clicks.  And for the second hold over?  Bwahaha!!    But if anyone knows the Spectrum reticle, please let me in on it..

Just sharing my school of hard knocks  … If the reticle is not detailed in the product literature, I pass!! (Geese I'm glad they let us modify our posts.  It would have been really embarrassing if I did not correct my goofs)..

Cheers

Yeah the Centerpoint has one of those irregular spaced reticles, much like a BDC (ballistic drop compensating) reticle that's designed for a specific firearm cartridge.  So that pretty much wipes out the  opportunity to use software like Chairgun to predict holdover points.  I mean it's nice to have that as a starting point but I still have to go out and shoot groups at varying distances to refine my range card.  If the predictions turn out to be really close, that's great.  There's just a certain reassurance that comes from theory matching reality.  However if I didn't have that starting point, I'd still be able to make a range card.  It would just take more pellets :)

Granted, I agree that a 7 MoA gap to the first hash mark is pretty coarse.  A typical mildot reticle on a SFP scope at 10x magnification would have 3 dots within that same space to use as aim points.  I think that's one of the key reasons target shooters will typically prefer a SFP.  Better aiming precision.

I think where a FFP scope comes in handy is in a point-and-shoot hunting situation.  At least it is for a relatively high energy round from a powderburner and larger animals with big kill zones.  I'm just not convinced it's that useful for small caliber airguns and animals with tiny killzones.

I bought one too and agree with you 💯, I wondered if the reticle was designed for a crossbow?

Just received the scope.  First impressions are good.  The sight picture is clear all the way to the edges and it's quite bright at full magnification.  The reticle is suitably fine at full magnification...should be just fine for precision shooting.   Some FFPs get too thick at high magnification.  That means it gets really small at low magnification but that won't bother me.

The illumination is just the dot in the middle.  I thought that was weird at first but I think I'm going to like it.  Many scopes are so bright at night, even on their lowest setting, that they wash out visibility of the target.  This one won't do that.

If focuses clearly at full magnification at 12 yards.  A bit blurry at 10 yards.

Well I was wrong about the illuminated reticle.

In proper darkness I realized that it's not just the center dot that's illuminated.  The rest of it has a very subtle backlit halo.  Very nice...this is perfect for night time pesting.

Thanks Jason for your review, hope you will enjoy your new scope, IMO this is a great bargain with all the features of a much more higher price scopes, what games do you hunt at night?
Best regard

Thanks, I think I'm going to like this one.  It's now on my .22 cal B51.  It has been my night time pesting rig lately...mainly for rats and raccoons and the occasional armadillo.

Here's a review of the Tactical Bestsight 5-15X50 FFP scope from a Russian customer. The auto translation leaves room for improvement, but the conclusion, if not the glass, is clear.

"Sight come in 2 weeks, seller no complaints, but the manufacturer this miracle bulk first dark lens especially noticeable in cloudy weather, the maximum multiplicity way claimed 15 and in fact about 20, soaps picture aims mildly uncomfortable silhouette Target painted rainbow trim, secondly, mesh thin in the first focal plane, but расчерчено not under mil dot, Accordingly amended to fail to have that mesh is not on the axis of sight and shifted to the 4-5 degrees clockwise sight is the rifle turned IN the third wheel balancing parallax tight but has inside a strange gap and numbers on it are far from the real ones… Summing up sight not more than toy for 4600 sorry spent money…"

I have a knockoff Zeiss from Aliexpress on the way that should get here any day.

The way I see it, if it turns out better than a $50 Centerpoint, its a win.
