Ruger impact Max Scope Rail Removal

The Picatinny scope rail on the Ruger Impact Max is a 1 piece critter that attaches to the 11mm rail in the air chamber.
It has 4 clamping screws to secure it in place.
The rail is an aluminum casting or extrusion, and not very flexible.
The rail does not spring open enough to remove from the 11mm dovetail.
Looks like brute force is going to be the only way.
Anyone have a way to remove it?

I've never seen that particular gun. I do have an interesting dovetail to Weaver adapter by UTG. It has four screws down each side. One set is longer than the other. They are far enough above the dovetail that you screw them tighter to spread the mount then slide it onto the dovetail. Once in place you back the screws out to allow it to clamp. One would probably remove the longer screws when the mount is in use but the shorter ones could be left in place. If all four of your screws are along one side see if you have four threaded holes on the opposite side. If so you may be able to populate each with a screw long enough to contact the four on the other side allowing you to spread the mount for removal. Why do I have it? I haven't a clue. I've never used it. Anyhow, just a thought. I'm sure others will have better guesses.

Maybe try tapping it fore and aft with a plastic mallet
I'm trying to remember if I ever tried removing any of mine
I guess I can go look
Yeah there are no spreader holes, but add some lube and tap it like mentioned , that should help open it up to remove it.

A little persuasion from a mallet and a block of wood removed it; now to get it back on when repairs are completed.
I suppose I should machine a notch in my spring compressor support block to accommodate weaver rails...

Or you could consider dovetail rings for your scope.
