Hi, New member here....found an LP 53 at a gun show yesterday. Appears to be an older model that hasn't been shot in a long time. What precautions should I take before shooting it ? Some type oil down the barrel to rejuvenate the leather seal ? I can see a spring in the grip, should I lightly lube it with grease like a Springer rifle ? I appreciate any advice , tips or help. Thanks

Real hard to mess these up, it’s a leather seal. The piston is totally in the grip, see diagram. Just a little oil down the transfer port. I use SAE 30 ND. I oil the spring in the handle a little as well. Oil pivot points.
