I'm going to be in S/E FL in early December. Do you guys know of, and can recommend anyone running iguana air gun safaris in that area? It would be me and a friend and we would need air guns along with the guides.
What is done with the meat from these hunts ??
Yes, I know they are eaten, as well as Armadillo's. I have not tried Iguana, but did eat Armadillo's in Mexico til I found out that they might carry Leprosy. I hate to see the Iguana meat go to waste & maybe the hunters could contact other people about donating the meat, especially in these tough times.
Many foods can carry diseases, but once very thoroughly cooked, they are mostly OK. I just don't like to see an animal killed & the meat wasted. If it is used for bait or for feed other animals, that is fine with me.
