@pblawler did you use the Numrich barrel? I can't get mine to group for anything! Thinking of getting a Crosman barrel and grinding it down to fit the 1977. That is what I did with my 880 conversion and it's a laser with a lot of different pellets.
I searched around for 922 barrels with no luck. It'd be nice if Daisy brought those back. Might give the Crosman 362 some competition. I will try the RWS pellets before grinding the Crosman barrel. If I can get minute of squirrel at 20 yards I'm a happy camper! The Numrich is such a cleaner install.

I've read where people replace the cutter wheels on pipe cutters with heavy duty bearings and use it to choke these pencil barrels. That's what I plan on trying at some point. Grease is your friend with these on bearings, threads, and barrel.https://www.harborfreight.com/no-2-pipe-cutter-62243.html
We'll...my Amazon delivery of RWS were delayed and I got the bug so I ended up switching out the Numrich barrel liner to the Crosman barrel. Got it all back together again. Still need to do the @pblawler valve/washer upgrade. Will have to visit Harbor Freight for those pieces. I'll let y'all know how it all comes together. My 880 .22 conversion was a lot simpler for some reason??? After upgrading to the 1977xs piston it's my favorite. However, I think once the 1922 gets running properly it will be a wrecking ball!!
My HF calipers measure .43 on the barrel prior to grinding. It's at .30 (roughly) to fit into the valve body.
.432 at the muzzle. The barrel is 17.25 inches long so I will cut the barrel shroud once i figure out the muzzle device. LDCs are the only way to go.
