Got my Crosman F4 and set it up.1st thing I did after shooting it about 10 times, was to take the stock off and remove the bear trap - it came off pretty easily. I then gave about 4 twist on the trigger spring set screw as a trigger was really, really long and very hard to pull. This made it much better but it's still too long - more adjustment is needed.Next thing I did was was to install the incredibly poor quality, plastic housed, lens flairing packaged Center Point scope. I used a set of mounts I already had because the mounts that came with this scope were absolutely cheap pieces of "Fudge" and were worse than the quality of this scope. I wish this gun would not have come with this scope and mount combo so I could have saved .50 ! (This is not a knock on Center Point scopes in general, I have quite a few and many of them are very, very good). After this was done I sat down and fired about 12 shots using 10.5gr CPUM's, yes she did pretty well. The firing sequence of the gun is very nice, there's no twang, it's just a very quick solid shot sequence, no after movement or noise --- Nothing ! -- I was very pleased. The F4 handles very well, unlike my Winchester 1100SS which is not handy, very heavy -- although it is slightly lighter, less bulky than my old Chevy truck :-)This Crosman F4 is nice to carry and feels good in the hand - Crosman did a nice job.Another note -- THIS GUN IS NOT 43.5" LONG, it is ~47" in length --- Glad I waited before I bought a soft case.Looking forward to doing some more testing tomorrow, I'll be chronographing the gun with these CPUM 10.5gr pellets and seeing how she does. I will check to see if I have any trigger set screws that I can use that are longer than the one that's in the gun so I could possibly lighten the trigger pull even more.Later wll
The longer screw will be okay for awhile but later the RC roller bearing mod I also mentioned is much better.
