I'm enjoying my Peacemaker beyond my wildest dreams and can't get my wife to provide empty Coke Zero cans fast enough. What other pellet pistol would provide equal backyard pleasure, he wonders. Perhaps a blowback semi auto?
My barrel is as solid as a rock!Hunter
I just ordered one from Midway USA it’s on a slight discount of 129$ and some change. I got some extra shells and also a 50 pack of co2. Hope the barrel is tight

Hope the barrel is tight I think mine developed the wobble after my dropping it (tried to catch it on my foot to soften the fall - not a good idea) on a carpeted floor. After the "intervention", is shoots just as well as before. Now I'm debating if I should get a BB one or a Schofield - smooth barreled ones are good to shoot darts with.I bought a second one on e-bay, seller gave an offer, it was $104 shipped.
I have two garden variety Peacemakers (5.5 inch barrel), pellet version and I need your folk's opinion: Is a custom 7.5 inch barrel and fanning hammer worth the extra $110 from the Pyramid custom shop?
The way I see it, I could buy a Schofield #3 and a Remington 1875 for just about the same money. Just waiting for Black Friday sales and see!

If you're able to machine some of your own parts, you can get away by just buying the aesthetic parts you want and converting one of yours. I did that with my 5.5'' nickel SAA and my Ace in the Hole.Quote from: brewbear on November 20, 2022, 01:26:20 PMThe way I see it, I could buy a Schofield #3 and a Remington 1875 for just about the same money. I actually like my Remy the most, followed by the Schofields, then the Colts .Left to right in the pic: Schofield in gunmetal finish, Schofield in nickel finish, Ace in the Hole with 7.5'' .177 barrel (aged finish), SAA nickel finish with 7.5'' .22 barrel, Remington 1875 with .177 rifled barrel.

A Peacemaker in .22 would be absolutely fantastic! I think they were available several years ago but try as I might, I couldn't find one.
Mine, of course, is a custom conversion. I machined the inner barrel and had to modify the shells too. Getting around 350 fps with 14.3 grains pellets. Those pesky tin cans don't stand a chance lol! I have the gunmetal Schofield currently apart, thinking about converting it to .22 caliber too .Seriously though, the Remington and Schofield are as good a value as the Colt, and give you the choice depending on how you feel . They each behave differently in the hand, and look awesome when on display. OK, I'll stop enabling now .
Had a blast shootin cans with a buddy last night. Colt Peacemaker, Dirty Harry SW 29, and a pile of 48 shells between us for loadin. Hew what fun!

Hew what fun!I love my S&W model 29.Did you get the 6" or the 8" ?Harry Callahan carried a 6", but I just had to get me the 8".My Crosman 38T already kind of looks like harry's 29 even though it's modeled after the model 14, so I figured why not just get the 8".The Bisley style grips on the Crosman 38T / S&W model 14 I like so much more, but the model 29 is still fun.
Anyone looking at one of these ?It's cool that you load your 30 shot bb magazine via a faux powder flask. However the overly decorated surface looks kind of cheesy to me, it reminds me of what you might get in a cheap kids pirate costume.Especially in the " gold " color finish, that one reminds me of a cheap brass plated belt buckle or drawer pull, I hate brass plated things. ( real brass or nothing for me )
I love the Peacemaker but... the nickel finish is killing me! I don't see enough contrast in bright light, I need to do something with the front sight. I tried red marker with lukewarm results. I am thinking about glueing a small strip of fiber optic and see how that goes. Any other suggestions ?
