Has anyone living in Illinois (shipping address) gotten any kind of response from Hatsan USA in the last - I don't know - YEAR? I've been trying for weeks (month) to get a new vortex type 1(b?) air ram with forks on the end..I filled out their customer service form - no response. I tried to order some seals - my shipping address is not accepted. It seems to be the state of Illinois that's blocking it. I've emailed and called. No response to anything.I don't see anything on the website that says they don't sell or ship to Illinois.Anyone with a similar experience?--Failing to get a new air ram. Can anyone recommend a better gun? I'm not interested in putting ANY more money into my Hatsan 95 .177 QE SAS. I'm not really interested in converting to a springer. I would go up in quality & cost presuming I can get more reliability, parts availability, and service - and less frustration. I now have a PCP air pump and fill probe - might as well go PCP multi-shot . . . or give up on air rifles. Anyone want to buy a Hatsan 95 for parts? Anyone want to buy a Hill Air Venturi MK5 practically brand new? Please pardon the rant - kind of joking - kind of NOT!!!
Thanks All, I finally got a response from HatsanUSA.com. I took SteveP-52's suggestion to use the general inquiries form to ask for support. They sent me an invoice for the air ram after just a few hours. I've paid that and will let you know if/when I get it. I did not get any email communication about anything - especially why I cannot complete an order for just a parts shipment to Illinois. BTW there are other discussions on the web about this and how vendors will not ship anything to Illinois because of Chicago and Cook County restrictions. I don't live there! I'm again dismayed that none of the reviews about Hatsan mention this poor level of customer support. I would rate them a zero and would never buy another Hatsan (ok maybe a parts gun). YMMV.Regards,John
Yogi, I was referring to commercial website reviews. When i was looking to buy, I had not looked at this web site and did not think to search on vendor reviews for support and parts availability (vs gun reviews). I was/am a newbie to air rifles. John
I've had responses to parts inquires usually in about 5-10 business days (pre-covid). Just sent another request 10/22/2022. Will advise if/when I get a response. This is NYS not Illinois. Pretty restrictive here on firearms and some airguns but I've not had any issues prior to this year getting anything airgun related shipped from Hatsan USA to my home.I'm a fan of the Hatsan Mod95. All the coil spring models I have shoot very nicely after some low cost DIY tuning work. One Vortex QE version I have has started leaking down between shooting sessions. I've replaced the bleed screw o-ring in the hope that it was the leak but I won't really know for a few weeks. Since my coil spring models all shoot just as nice as the Vortex version I plan to convert it to a coil spring if that Vortex is still leaky. The Mod95 Vortex to coil spring conversion requires a spring, spring guide (I make my own), and a new rear tube plug. That plug is just a little too complex for the tools in my shop to fabricate from scratch so I am trying to order one (the recent parts request).I don't have any high dollar high quality springers so can't recommend any. There are many folks here who do have them and can provide suggestions based on their hands-on experience.I do have a few entry level PCP rifles and they all can stack pellets so much easier than any springer I own. Yet I still shoot my springers much more often than my PCPs.If you really want to cut your losses on your Mod95 177 I'd be interested in acquiring it but my offer would likely be too low. I usually buy Hatsan refurbs on free shipping weekends so ANY Mod95 over $125 shipped is not for me. If serious, post a WTS in the Classified Gate and see if you can get reasonable offers.
