OK.. C'mon Folks!
Let's pass the winter away once again!!!
Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
Come one, come all... Casual Match #1 of 2022/2023 is open for business.!!!
The Casual Match is a fun match. Shoot whatever you want at 10M (more or less depending on what you have available), use any position or rest that you prefer. See below for the details.
Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10M instead of 50’, using the 50’ target of choice. If you are limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are PCP Rifle (includes any rifle except spring or nitro pistons), Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), and Pistol. One entry may be made in each class.
The match #1 will run 2 weeks, through Sunday, 11/20/22.
The 50’ rules and targets may be found at:

Not gunna lie, I worked HARD to get this target, the Airacuda has a bad case of wandering POI, there is a plan to fix it but it will take a little while to get that worked out.

Nice target for a wandering poi.
If I showed you the 30 and 50 yard targets, you would understand. :P

Sometimes i wonder if my Akela is like that. I put it off to me always changing pellets and trying new things. Then for a week or so I hang with one thing and then out of the blue it was all over. I have over 5k through it, and cleaned it a week ago. Seems to be tighter again. I wonder if the slugs lead more because there is more bearing surface. Time will tell. I even wonder if the moderator makes the barrel do things, and what if any effect one of those tensioned carbon fiber sleeves would have. Then I realize its a sub 400 rifle and I'm supposed to be saving for a Ghost or Redwolf so i just shoot it and have fun.
Hope you figure yours out.

Thanks Mark. No telling what the issue is but there is a plan.
I think I'll put it in the magazine for now and focus on other guns since I'm stalled on going forward at this time.

Excellent shooting Kurt.
Since both entries are in the "Jumper" class, I am thinking you want to use the HW95, 199/200 x4 scored target?
-
Oh man, I have already violated the rules.
You should have standing no glass class.
Sure, use the 199/200.
I hope to soot pcp today. Maybe some ssp too.

Nice targets Kurt.

I'll play!
Outdoors, cold hands, mild breeze. I was hoping to practice and shoot a few targets to pick the best, but it turns out I am running out of wadcutters so this is it.

NICE!!!!

Can airguns get jealous?
I got my CZ about a month ago and thought for sure it would be my gun of choice for target shooting, but my AR surprised me with that target. I just put it at my 10m backstop and shot it, it was done in a few minutes. The AR hasn’t shot like that in a while, maybe it’s worried about it’s position in the line up?
Or, maybe it’s a lesson in just having fun rather than trying too hard.
Or, maybe it was a big fluke, never to be repeated.
Only time will tell…..
Today I’ll see what I can do with the Meisterschutze for the ‘jumper’ class.

John, what's up with the 25th shot? :-\

That would be a sighting in shot. I'm assuming you are talking about the one in the middle.... lined up on the crossed lines? I want to make sure the gun is shooting where it's supposed to before I start. Seems like a good place to me.

Nice card Charlie!
-
Charlie, how fast are you shooting those wad cutters out of that AA?
-
Struckat,
Not sure, but I have it turned down as far as it goes. My guess is ~500fps +/-. My shooting crony gave up the ghost and I guess I should replace it. Any suggestions?
Shoot well and have fun!
Charlie

Firewalker,

If momma allows me to break away, I'm going to get that .177 Chaser swapped over to a pistol tonight. Gotta get 2 targets in the match! ;)
