My Vortek tuned HW30 shoots the 7.87's at 695 and is smmoooooth.
Thanks y'all. I was tickled pink with all aspects of both 30S' and my R7 UNTIL I pulled out the chrony. As Ron suggested, I might ought to leave well enough alone? Their sound, accuracy, recoil and smell are as smooth as can be given the age and temperament of the shooter. The above having been said, if I were to decide to replace a piston sleeve or two, is there a video or something to go by somewhere and are ARH's piston sleeves as good as anybody elses? I really don't want to screw up otherwise great little airrifles.

Greg it sounds like one of your guns is on par with the similarly built gun on post #2 (reply #1). There's probably nothing wrong with it. The other is a bit low. It may very well be a loose seal as Mark suggests. It may also be a bad or broken spring. Does the one with lower velocity cock easier than the other? Or make a creak or pop noise during cocking?
Ron, until I brought out the chrony, they are both pretty much the same except for theiir sights. Like I said, I am tickled with both of them
