Also very nice! Is it that easy to put a 760 tube on a 77 grip frame? Plug and play? Or were alterations made?
Yaaa Buuddy..I read up on the fancy wood stock version... So sexy and cool. You've a great lot their... Wowzer.Huge drool here.
Researching around this morning and found this thread. Pretty awesome indeed. So I run out to the shop and dug around for my ole 1377...Rough as a corn cob.. LOL... I acquired the little gun around 1986 or 1987..hummm... in a trade from a friend. It was very used to say the least before I got it.Being a kid..I packed it everywhere and shot a ton of BB's threw it.The seal went south and it sat around for years. Somewhere along the lines I picked up a 760 that the stock was scrunched.....So That being said..I got pondering the two one day sitting next to each other in a corner..And hence my first Mods to an airgun of combining the two...Way before I even knew of such things could be done. The 77 received the valving and barrel off and out of the 760.Worked the charm really..shot a little to the right ..But I remembered to compensate or Dope for it...ahahaha..What I thought was a good idea for clean up at the time....was a quick scuff and some black paint... Ugh.. Kids.Any whooo.. I'm thinking about donating this free to someone. It really needs a good home. Not a cold garage corner. Is it worth the clean up and Love ? Still pumps and shoots.Pretty sure I have a started custom grip for it somewhere with the original Barrel also.Or just talk me into maybe refurbishing it.. Could be a fun little project actually..It's had a interesting life to say the least..

Or were alterations made?None of the tube swaps were P&P. Depending on the tube used the 4-48 breech hole has to be drilled and tapped, most require the transfer port hole to be relocated, hammer and trigger slot rework etc but not too difficult. They all have 766 NOS pump links. The 66 tube has a 4" x 5/8" stroke and gets 750 FPS (9.81 FPE) on 10 pumps with the 21 1/2" Challenger barrel. I use H&N Barracuda 9.65 grain Hunter Extreme pellets in this gun and 10 pumps= 704 FPS (10.53 FPE).The MK tube has a 4" x 3/4" stroke and gets 676 FPS (14.51 FPE) on 10 pumps with the 18" LW (Air Force) barrel. With 15 pumps it gets 791 FPS (19.86 FPE). Would be nice if P&P upgrade tubes were available.
does anyone have a problem with the 1377 in cold weather, not even really cold....40-45 degreeslike....the pump arm goes "limp" and it won't hold air....when it warms up,it's fine again i am guessing the pump cup or something shrinks? but that seems like an awful lot of shrinkage

I had this when I put too much grease into the pump tube. Seems like it's getting into the checkvalve then and hinders it from closing properly.(OK, I also have a softer as standard valve spring, so this is possibly no common problem) Or is the pump cup leaking ? (Pumping works better if you pump faster)But since you also tell the pump lever drops it's more likeley the rubber cup.
