Airgunsdaily just twisted my arm into getting this rifle. Couldn't pass up the price.
Hope it's everything it's cracked up to be and will make my 52 fine company.

I don't recall ever reading a bad 34 review and with the new stock and T06 trigger it just gets better.

I wondered whether that deal included the T06. Frankly, it was a great deal with the T05, which is not bad at all. I hope you love the rifle and will look for your gloat when it arrives.

Yawohl!
My out of the box T05 is very nice. But from what I've read here, on G-gate, the T05 is a hit or miss.
Maybe expectations were to high or there is an actual design problem. Hopefully yours will be as nice as mine. Let us know.

One thing I didn't like about the 34 was what I perceived as poor balance. I knew the scope was to high so thought lowering that might help a bit.
I was looking at a one piece droop comp mount at PA for $52 but didn't think it would change things that much. A set of low rings were inexpensive but out of stock.
So thought I'd check my vast amount of miscellaneous shooting junk and lucked out,,,discovering some ancient super low weaver rings.
,,,what a difference in shooting comfort and
balance

New here, and greetings! Ya'll are great, as is the GTA, as you all revived my adolescent addiction to airguns! Thank you!
I too saw the impossible to pass up deal on the M34 on Airgunsdaily, and hit the order button...Haven't gotten the shipping notification yet, but should receive soon. 34 Pictured on the site appears to be a T05, but hard to say what will arrive at the door. Price was too hard to pass up on one of the all time great classic airguns. I like the globe front sight and the metal trigger guard on the T05 better than the new T06 model where those items have been changed to plastic. I would prefer the T06 trigger however....?? We'll see what arrives at my door. A "no return" policy at Airgunsdaily, so hopefully not a "too good to be true" type deal....Anyone else have any experience ordering from this (
www.airgunsdaily.com
) website? Rumor is, they are owned by airgun depot?

I bought an RWS 34P new from Pyramyd, sent it straight to Gene for turbo tune. That gun shot so smooth and QUIET. Great backyard gun. Quieter than my Whisper.

Got my shipping notification from "Airgun Depot Customer Care" that my newly purchased M34 from
www.airgunsdaily.com
has shipped! Confirmed...
www.airgunsdaily.com
is Airgun Depot. For those out there wondering if they would be sending payment into the "unknown on line purchase abyss", no worries now, as Airgun Depot is certainly a reputable well known on line AG business....I plan on performing a home "vortek" tune and possibly mods on this 34 soon after it arrives. I hope to post tune process pics etc, including before and after velocity results....
Cheers!

Hey AT
I am also considering a Vortek drop in for the 34. Looking forward to your results.
Guess you're gonna be the guinea pig on this one.

Jack, I tuned my 34 Panther Pro Compact with a vortek power plant myself, and although I have not cronied the rifle as of yet, the kit operation and function has been nothing short of amazing. As we already realize, Diana makes excellent quality products. The Vortek kit made my good 34 Pro a great 34 Pro IMHO...The first shot post install made me literally say "wow"! The shot cycle is smoother, more quiet, and much quicker. Most of all, the gun appears more accurate and less hold sensitive due to the recoil occurring over a shorter time frame. Recoil is still tough on scopes however, as I've now managed to destroy the guts on two RWS 3-9x40 AO factory scopes. All my AG's will be getting a Vortek kit installed, with the possible exception of my soon to receive MM tuned B-26. By giving Vortek so many accolades, which Tom Gore deserves with his innovative thinking and support of this industry, I am in no way knocking any of the highly skilled pro tunes and tuners out there. They certainly have earned my respect as masters of their art. They have more than earned their place in the AG community. The Vortek option just fits my affordable "price for performance" mindset and budget. I do look forward to receiving my new M34, (which I hope is the T05 version) and installing the PG2 powerplant myself. A big thanks to all those on the GTA that take the time to share thier experience and pass it on. I would be lost without it!

@AirTrigr: Just got the rifle in and its the Classic with the T06. Is there a reason you wanted the T05? Will the kit not fit in the T06 34? I'm liking rifle so far.

22slinger,
I'm fairly certain the PG2 will work in the new and older version model 34's, as long as the piston size hasn't been changed since the previous T05 model...It's not that the kit does not work in the new model 34, it's just that I prefer the older style (globe, or hooded) front sight and metal trigger guard found on the T05 version. Maybe I'm confused but I thought the 34 "classic" was the older "M34 T05" model and the newer version was simply considered the "T06 34)??....Maybe someone could explain to me which model is which? Thanks!

The TO6 has a stock configuration which is generically called a classic,,, so the "34 Classic",,,,,at least that's my take.

Well it's Classic that is stamped on the action. Don't know the difference between m34 and classic. There can't be that much different?.... Right?

The Model 34 is definitely a classic.
RWS now must be marking it as such. Now I'm confused.
The only difference I guess is the trigger, stock, and ( un-classic sights).
