POI 5 mil dots to the left of POA

I decided to try my 4x16 CP scope on my new refurbished RWS-52. I'm using the Leapers droop-comp mount(for the D460 series). Some history: this setup was removed from my M54 as one unit. I left he scope installed on the mount. When I first used this setup on the M54, my first shot was showed I needed just a few clicks of elevation and windage to be on center. I was impressed by that.
Now that I've transfered this setup to my M52 (it was a direct drop-in fit) my POI is a whole 5 mil dots to the left of my POA, while elevation is nearly dead on center, maybe one click high. I had the windage adjusted to almost even when it was on the m54, just a few clicks, as I mentioned to center. I thought I had something mounted wrong, so I turned the UTG rings around, but when I took a few shots, the POI stayed the same: left of center. I thought the stop pin might be interfering with the alignment of the mount, but I had it backed out, so that was not the problem. So now I'm thinking the rifle's scope rail might be off a bit, with the front end pointing to the right. The scope runs out of windage adjustment, only moving the POI to a bit less than 3 mil dots from center.
Any solutions, guys? Shim something?
thanks,
darryl

Does the barrel look bent to the left? Put a strait edge on it see if its straight, or can you see thr scope rail off center?

I'd take off the mount, remove the scope & rings (if separate from the mount or base), and start from scratch.
Even if the mount is a one piece,,,seems like the 1st step to me.

I would do what Mike said. Maybe it just tightened up funny. I have never had a AG run out of windage.
Are you sure the scope is OK? I have had two get destroyed on a RWS52.
A little expensive but I have used these mounts. Sure to fix any Zero.

I just came from trying a different scope; the one that came with the rifle. I used the same mount though. The results were that the POI is right at the POA with only a few clicks of adjustment. So I now know for certain it's the Center Point scope. What I don't understand is how the POI could be so far off just from sitting on it's side. Is that clue I should consider? It's got a limited lifetime warranty. Maybe I'll send it in for repair. Think those compressions from where I once shimmed it for use with a non-droop-comp mount will make a difference to them? It never did effect performance once I mounted it on the droop-comp them used it on my 54. Dead nuts it stayed until I removed it.
Oh, I did start from scratch and removed the CP scope, UTG rings and the mount, then reinstalled. I even turned the rings around so the tightening screws were on the opposite side of the mount from the previous installation. The POI was still 5 mil dots to the left. Well, it's 4x for me until I find a new scope I like (and wait the prerequisite amount of time before I buy one, so the wife won't berth a cow).
Besides, this RWS scope is shorter and lighter-weight than the 4x16 CP is. Maybe a good time to put a Williams peep on this rifle too, and call it a day.
thanks for the input, guys!

Bummer!
I just changed rings on a Leapers, did leave the UTG mounted on the gun, but besides lower rings, repositioned the scope lower on the mount.
Was expecting to do a complete re-sight in...Instead got a 5 shot 25 yd one holer, well golf ball size, in the snow bank across the ally while leaning out the back door.
I'm sure some refinement is needed,,,but still,,,, go figure.

Well guys,
I've heard that the 54 is a scope buster, but I thought things were fine when I took the CP off. Guess I was wrong. Either that or the scope just chickened out when I grabbed it.
I do have a 3x9x32mm Bug Buster. It's light weight, but the reticle is kind of thick for distance shooting. Hey, it's good for whacking squirrels at 30 yards, so I might give it a spin. Naaa! Peep sight!
