25.cal barrels

Looking for a 25.cal barrel for a project, do not want to pay a lot because my idea may not work. Any suggestions would be great.  Iron Hand

B&A sell some, I believe they are a machined off version of the one from the Crosman XL725, which is the cheapest you will find.... 7/16" or 1/2" OD at the breech, 18.75" long....

If you can machine it yourself, getting the Crosman one (which comes in the breech block) is even cheaper, less than $20 I believe....

Can those springer .25 barrels be removed from the breech block somewhat easily?

HIGHLY doubtful ANY of the other .25 cal offerings from Crosman corp are using the green mountain barrels.

The BnA barrel was good and accurate at the mid 600's with H&N 20.1g  and 5 something with the JSB .25 25g kings...

I have read it is just a matter of pressing the pin out and some may need the block heated... there is a thread about it...

So I take it you have experience w/the BnA barrels, K.O.?  Are they 7/8" O.D. or are they .50" O.D.?

An Mrod barrel will work too. $80 from crosman IIRC. I used one for my .25 uber pumper. I got it used for $50.

There are two that they had not sure now but one was cut to fit the Crosman steel breech (the one I picked up), the other one is turn for their big bore Breech...

the un turned down portion is 15mm-9/16 and muzzle is metric so the hatsan stripper doesn't fit, if you are good can make one from the Crosman shroud I think...

I haven't yet- I haven't found anyone with time or tools to do it.  I also don't have too much time, with summer courses.  The brake hone was a great idea, and I've used it for other things, but it's not long enough to use on an 18" tube.  I'd also like to go a little bit longer on the tube, because I can. 

Thanks for the info about the barrel!!  I now have an even better idea on what to expect when I have it fitted!!  It's also good for the O.P. so that he may consider a break barrel as source for a .25 barrel!!

I would like to find an old Bsa Meteor to steal the barrel just to see how it does the were 1:19 twist from what I read.

I honestly think I got near that checking the NP725 barrel by the way...
