...because I got to play with a parade of gorgeous German springers yesterday!A friend of mine has what I consider to be a fabulous collection of springers, and he was a generous host.In short order, I got my first trigger time with a long list of fine rifles, including an R7, HW35, HW97k, LGV, LGU, FWB Sport and FWB 300. All tuned and in tip top shooting condition. Even in some ugly wind and using makeshift holds they all wanted to shoot. Especially the 35, 97 and Sport.I am now both thankful and envious...! 😁
Well, my 77 is an early 2000's rifle, with the older low comb sporter style stock.I have high hopes for it, and I'm going to mount a pretty good 4-16 on it to find out how it shoots. Soon. My fun over the weekend has whet my appetite!

Sorry Ron, not trying to oppose your view of thought on the stock. Vintage is vintage, but a gun must fit the shooter to get the best out of it.
