OEM parts are sometimes hard to find/get or can be silly expensive.If it were my project rifle I'd order a ~$15 ball bearing assortment kit from Amazon like this one.Dual Scales Imperial, Metric 700pcs 20 sizes 304 Stainless Steel ballImperial Scales 3/32 1/8 5/32 3/16 7/32 1/4 9/32 5/16 11/32 2/8 13/32 INCH [11 IN TOTAL]Metric Scales 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 5 5.5 6 7 8 9 9.5 MM [13 IN TOTAL]I have a similar kit and it has been VERY handy replacing lost safety bb's and lost/damaged check-valve bb's.
How many people have even heard of the Whitworth system of measurement? In any case I suspect the T01 bearings would be metric as that trigger came about after the Milbro days.
Out of 700 pieces, how long would it take to match the ones in the gun? Was there ever a Whitworth sized ball bearing?-Y
I bought a used Diana 34 with the T-01 trigger. The gun was sold as “not working, probably needs seals”. After opening the box, I found the piston was stuck in the trigger assembly and would not release. The only way I found to get it to release was to completely disassemble the trigger group. Driving the last pin out of the inner sleeves forcefully released the piston and all 3 little bearing balls disappeared in the process. Does anyone know what diameter they are? I assume 5mm by my caliper measurements, but since they may have been the reason for the stuck piston in the first place I want to make sure I get them right.
