I like safety glasses with medicine in them. I order them 1/2 dozen pair at a time and scatter them thoughout our home and vehicles.https://www.safetyglassesusa.com/bifocal-safety-glasses/These work best for me..https://www.safetyglassesusa.com/bf68.htmlI've pretty much always got a pair on my head... they come in darkened lenses as well.Unfortunately you can't wear them in California... apparently they cause cancer there..
I use my prescription glasses. A couple of years ago I asked the optometrist with my lenses if they met a certain specification (I forget exactly what now) and she said yes. I was reading an air gun article somewhere on this topic of eye safety and it recommended a certain spec lenses or higher if you were shooting with prescription glasses. But she also said that specifically made safety glasses were rated higher than my prescription lenses but were close.
