Cool. Thanks fellas. As long as it's relatively normal I'm not too worried then. The Velcro should do enough to keep from chewing the receiver up.Very surprised with the power of this thing compared to my 880 andy 901. Much louder as well but it flat out shoots.
Just thinking out loud here. 1977 with 880 VB and 1977 pump head and tube. I suppose this configuration would still have valve lock problems if the lighter trigger spring is used. I like the 880 trigger pull that much better (with Mr. Ron's conversion).
I'm going to call daisy to see if they can sell me just that part. Its not on their parts list. If I cannot then I'll transplant the parts into a 901. The pump arm may be better suited for over pumping. This is my .25 caliber conversion so I'm not sure how much over pumping will be required to compensate for the shorter pump tube.
That just TEARS IT!!!!I'm ready to throw this thing out the window!!! Between the terrible trigger and the now broken plastic arm!!!Grrrr!!!!
@pblawler, I can't understand how it happened?? I wasn't even over pumping. I was on pump six and "snap". It even made the wife look up. What the heck happened! I may take you up on that. I'm waiting to see what Daisy says. The rep said they do not sell the part individually but she was going to check with the gunsmith to see if he had any and call me back. I'll keep y'all posted.
