397PA Bolt Lug question
«

I am rebuilding a Benjamin 397PA and the bolt lug that came in the screw replacement kit is different from the "original" and I would like to know which one is the correct one. I am currently unable to attach pictures. The new lug has a shorter head height with a beveled crown and is black oxide. The old lug has a slightly taller head, a narrower diameter, no bevel and appears to be stainless. Near as I can tell, this is a Bloomfield gun that dates to June of '95 and has the brass trigger/safety blocks. Any help greatly appreciated! ! !

If the original is undamaged and works fine, re-use it. A reseal job doesn't normally involve changing the bolt lug.

Thanks for your response. I was trying to keep my post from being too wordy but unfortunately. . .
The original is damaged to the point that I had to remove it with pliers because the driver bit spun freely in the allen head. There is also a gouge on the head of the lug either from a bevel on the hammer or a misadjusted cam. The screws(N629)that hold the safety mount and the trigger spring retainer had to be replaced for the same reason.
I do not have enough posts to be able to add pictures.
