I want one for putting small holes in pine squirrel hides at a max of 30 yards.I often wondered if anyone else shot holes in those beds, or was it just me.Strange to me that I've never seen anything jump and run out of one.

I often heard you guys refer to 'pine squirrels' and never really knew what they were. I don't ever remember hearing about them while growing up in Ohio. We had reds, fox and greys with the occasional albino and blacks.I finally had to look them up. I'm not sure if we have them here in lower Alabama. I didn't see anything suggesting that in my search. What we do have here that grabbed our attention were the monkey face squirrels. Strange looking little dudes.

There's 3 turns of hammer spring adjustment on mine. Maxed out I'm seeing 23.5 fpe with 12.5 NSAs. That's the highest I've seen. For some reason the 10.3s Knockouts didn't gain any appreciable velocity at max over what I'm seeing with 2 turns. It seems to want to run around 22 fpe with them. Accuracy is great, so I'm not complaining.

I finally got it to a point that it was photo worthy. I've got a new bipod coming but that's about it for now.

Quote from: EdinGa on January 16, 2023, 11:43:34 PMThanks for the tips, Jim! I'll be referring back to them. If I can make the trigger even marginally better I think these groups will shrink. I'm going to play around with the hammer spring a see if I can find a good balance between accuracy and efficiency. It looks like it came off the reg around 150 bar. BTW the groups I posted are with slugs.I've found that one way to shrink groups is to stop shooting at "dots" drawn on the target. Just put a "+" as your aiming point. "Aim small, shoot small"

Did they lose any mass? It looks like the "as swaged" slug is now a donut.
