A favorite activity when in Texas of my son-in-law and myself is pawn shop hopping.
I typically come up with an airgun or 2.....
This Christmas trip yielded a Ruger Impact Max Elite .22cal.
The bluing had been intentionally removed from the top of the air tube just ahead of the Picatinny rail
and it was missing the rear sight, but otherwise in reasonable condition.
Wood is good.........
So, I left $40.00 at the pawn shop and came home with the rifle.
Nice shooter!
Another shop had a Benli Prowler.177.
A tad on the rusty side, but not too bad.....
That shop wanted $50.00, and said it was already discounted, so no haggling to be done.
That one is still hanging on their wall.......

I friended ole Duke who owned the pawn shop down the road from us and he would hold back all the airguns he took in and gave me first pick. He showed me what he had invested and charged me $5 more. I picked up several. He has since passed and his wife closed up shop.

No "Pawn Shops" here locally.
They were legally not allowed until a decade or two ago in Indiana... still haven't caught on here in "Smallville".
Congrats on your finds!

Very few pawn shops here, as well, and I've never seen an airgun in one. Some local gun shops have some second-hand airguns on an on-and-off-basis.
Just the other day I checked out a B31 in one. The gun had a 150 buck price tag and a massive downward curve (not even a droop) in the fixed barrel.

I picked up a well worn Walther LG51 one time. The bad thing about hock shops is I usually go out with less in my wallet than I went in with. In fact, I'm dropping by one tomorrow, though not for an airgun. Still, if there's one on the shelf....

Quite a few pawn shops within an hours drive from me, but so far no air rifles. Plenty of line trimmers cordless impact wrenches though.

Used to be many here but now only a few, and even less that handle guns of any kind. It was kind of fun just window shopping on an afternoon.
