3D printed iron sight

So I decided to make a temporary Iron sight with my 3D printer and some CAD modeling software. I’ll post each new version on thingiverse if you would like to check them out. Keep in mind this is not a final product, it is just a base concept that I am using to make the final product , that will come after a lot of trial and error, one of the major flaws i can see already is that the front post is to tall. Once I land on something I like and is fairly usable, I might machine it from tough plastic or metal. The front sight clamps on with small screws or 1/8 inch wide pins made from steel rods or 3D printed pins, the bottom clamp is flatter to allow you to place the gun on a flat surface and allow you to clamp it on straighter. The rear sight is just a simple 11mm dovetail mount that slides on and off, it has a ring and small notches to help adjust for distance. This is my first attempt at making any kind of sight, even though this is just something to help me get an idea of how to design this. Feedback and advice is appreciated!

Maybe add one for smaller barrels like a crosman etc.

Very Cool!
Gotta ask though, does the red affect how yer eyes "see" the sights?
Keep designing and making them. you'll get better at it and the "feedbck" will help make it better thru each evolution

I like the winged front sight. I really don't like hooded/globe front sights. Have you looked into how the front sight for an M1 carbine looks? That's my absolute favorite front sight design. I'm thinking of re-engineering one so that it can be fitted to a dovetailed muzzle. As you found out, getting that height for the front sight right is the trick.
I think red is a good choice. I don't like how black front sights and black scope reticles can disappear into a target.
