Another P17

I got another P17 for my birthday this year. Been fighting a cold and the weather has been wet and nasty outside, so I've decided to mod it into a quiet indoor shooter that could be used for really small pest outdoors when conditions are better. Here's what I came up with:
The barrel came from my first Daisy 880, it has gotten quite worn out, so I decided to put it to good use here. A 10" section was used for the P17. Here's how I secured the barrel to the "slide":
It is just a wrap of 220 grit wet/dry sandpaper, grit side facing the barrel. Locks it solidly in place for a tight seal. At the front, I used a .25" long piece of 3/16" x 5/16" silicone tubing stretched over the barrel to center it:
The LDC is 65mm long by 25mm diameter. It just clears the trigger guard with no issues. The P17 has a bit of a pop when shooting indoors and the LDC turns it into a puff. There are 2 things I really like about this build: 1. It can be done with minimal tools and abilities and 2. No backdrafting is necessary. With 7.4 grain pellets, it averages 450 fps and with 10 grain pellets, it averages 395 fps. If the LDC isn't desired, you can get another 1.5" or so of barrel length for a few more fps.
If you've wanted a longer barreled P17, this might be a build you'd like to replicate. It doesn't get much easier than this! I'll bet the Crosman soda straw barrels would be a good candidate as well.

Nice, I'm thinking a shroud could be an option if one wanted a longer barrel and mouse farts

Did you use 1o" from the muzzle, or the breech?
If breech, did you re-choke; if muzzle, did you open up the breech end of the barrel. I think it's called the leade.
How did you cut the barrel?
Is the barrel cross-drilled under the LDC, or does it stop and open into baffles?
Any other mods or add-ons in store for it?
Do you think cocking it causes rear sight issues?

It would look like a million bucks too! Unfortunately, the smallest carbon fiber tube I had was 25mm OD. More modifications would be required to be done to the frame, but it would be worth it. Guess I know what to do with the other half of my 880 barrel.
Xptical -
I used the muzzle end. The barrel was cut with a dremel wheel and trued up on both ends with a small belt sander. I then finished the ends with finer grits of sandpaper on glass. The breech end got a little polish treatment with the dremel to give a good seal and reduce o ring wear. After this was done, I crowned the muzzle and made a leade in the breech end. I did 6 applications of cold blue to make the barrel look a little better. The LDC installs as usual, no barrel drilling or slotting necessary.
As far as other mods, I installed a urethane o-ring on the piston. I plan to do a trigger job on it as well. As you mentioned, cocking can interfere with the rear sight. From the factory, they have a lot of side to side play. I heated the "ears" on the frame with a heat gun. They get pressed inward and with a needle file, I carefully remove material until the rear sight can move up and down freely with no side to side play.
