Any defective major problems with this year modle, This one appears as new in box with minor firing,
But failed to lock at full cock, Disassembled trigger Looked ok reassembled, No help, then broke down assembly from tube, found 3 piece spring (9 inch I@2 curl segments @ couple chips, Pulled fired trigger assembly and Cocked with plastic screwdriver end, Has nice crisp firing.. As spring lost length figure end caping and spacer added might allow cocking test, before new spring ordering, Any recommendations on spring size type, Remounted trigger and it cocks ,grabs piston head and fires/releases without main spring, ok
Have some doubt about tube that holds the gripper bearings, As it has Crack or seam from front to rear, either crack or seam from being a stamped cut out and rolled into tube, Normal or cracked/split tube ?

I believe you're in the age range to have a T01 trigger. I have found the pull difficult at seven pounds. I installed a set screw in mine for adjustment (2.5mm X 10mm) and got the first stage down to 3.5 pounds.
While it's apart take a good look at the piston seal. For a spring check out Air Rifle Headquarters or Vortek. If you go with a 12 fpe kit you'll have it shooting about as smooth as it can be.

Been reading around forum for last few days old stuff, looking mainly, I don't see any reference numbers on unit other than black plastic trigger and 2 set screws,, Didn't see similar on utube just t05s ? I'm not particular on lite triggers as was cured with 222 contender back when I shot silhouettes, big hole in mud when closing between feet. Decided buffing/ homing sears was error on my part, Looked at vortex didn't see stock for model 36, specific, Would think similar length and diameter compressed with other models at time compatible, Stripped ol beeman totally different, Been thru ryders, Sheridan's, Beemans Crossman's Benjamin's couple forgotten Only 2nd broke spring. 1st 65 years ago.,

Diana 36 is a 34 with a nice stock. A spring for a 34 will be fine.

Went ahead as any obsessive compulsive strange fellow would do. with 9 inch broke spring, Heated broke one , ground, down End caped with 2 .375 x .795 .080 teflon stacked on top,,formed broke end de burred an annealed, with quick dip, ..loaded up had to compress 2 inches into breech with 19 mm socket stool on bench and elbo power, aided by nitting needle, Tightened all up, Test . good safety, good feel to it 2x2x 8 dried hard yellow pine block 60 ft, smooth quick light trigger Pow no vibration nor other objections and a hit, How deep ? dropped 16 down channel, Nice left nail in,, hack saw edge to lead 1 inch plus hair to cap; impressed and happy, bargain indeed

Enjoyed your post. I too use a shortened spring. Almost no preload. 620 with jsb 7.333 gr. There are a lot of options.

Faster than anything I have, side by side ,and flatter shooting by considerable using dead hold on stumps 150 yards across tank splashes out about 120 or so guessing mid 20s+ drop. Tried couple on steel at 50 yards splatters pointed ones and shrapnel's paper below
