Pellet question about RWS 350 and 34. 22

Shot my 350P .22 over the chrony yesterday. Here are some averages.
cphp 14.3 av. 876
beeman round 15.2 av. 859
RWS meisterk's 14. av. 882
RWS superpoint 14.5 av.875
Gamo magnum 15.4 av. 855
JSB jumbo rs 13.43 av. 776
Question being why would the jsb 13.4 shoot that much slower?
Also shot my 34 .22 t06 with cphp's and it shot an av. of only 655. Does that seem kinda slow?

Czech pellets don't like German airguns!
I'm wondering about the 34 though. 655 is probably more realistic than the advertised 800 but still seems a little slow.
Did you crony any other pellets in the 34? I have a new TO6 Classic but, weatherwise, haven't been able to do much with her.

Every gun and every pellet is a beast unto itself. Pick the one that shoots best. I would Highly suggest some JSB 18.1 for that 350. If they work, that 350 will be a real thumper!

most average 34's shoot in the HI 6's low 7's so I would think 665 is a very low # for that gun, those are good # for the 350!

Your 350 is shooting very strong. Those are "healthy" #'s. JSB RS pellets have never shot well out of my Diana guns and were always "too slow". They just don't fit right and air blows by around them. It's JSB's cheaper pellet.
The pellet that shoots well for most 350's is the JSB 15.8gr. It should be in the low 800's and perfect for hunting with good FPE. I have taken a lot of medium-size small game with this pellet and my 350 (Groundhogs & possums). You may want to try the JSB 18.1gr, but it may shoot a little too slow, meaning the trajectory may be too loopy to estimate the POI down range unless you practice a lot at different ranges to learn how it shoots. It is a bit on the heavy side for Springers, unless your gun shoots them at 790-800fps which might be possible. Normally only 350's that shoot 14.x pellets @ 890+fps (with a power tune/latest Vortek Kit, etc.) can shoot the 18gr JSB at 800fps.
I recommend the JSB Jumbo 15.8gr (15.9 is usually their weight). They are very uniform (no fliers) and accurate. They should be around 810-820fps in your 350.
Your 34 is shooting fine. They are usually between 655 and 675fps with 14.x when they are completely stock. With a Vortek PG2 kit, it will be shooting 690-700fps, but 655 is plenty for squirrels 30+yds out. Even larger critters at reasonable distances (~25yds) if hunting is what you plan on using it for. Is the 34 new? It may need a new spring or breach seal, or both but 655 is not bad at all. Did you try different pellets?

My 34 shot at that speed when brand new.
Then I read that the breech seal needs shimming so I did that and it brought it up to 700 with crosman ultra mags 14.3 .Rob

breech seals are a big issue with the Diana rifles and you can find a replacement in the plumbing dep of most hardware stores, 34's are known for these problems.

My 22 350 does not like those pellets either. I have 5 pellets and hrony numbers listed in he airgun gate under 4 guns 6 diff pellets strand. Your numbers are good. I just would not shoot he light jsb's. And another to try are the 14.66 ftt or fts by hn/beeman. My 350 loves them.

Wish I would have known about the JSB's before buying 4 tins of them. Maybe they will shoot better in my npss .22 or the 34. Haven't tried them in those guns yet. The 34 is fairly new with about 750 pells thru it and have only chronied cphp's. Maybe it will get better with a few more shots. I did do a lube on the 350 and 34 with Maccarri lubes. 350 after about a 1000 shots and it was bone dry. The 34 screeched so bad I lubed it after about 200 shots but the spring did have some lube on it tho. A little moly behind the piston seal and it quieted down.

my d34 .22 can't stand jsb diabolo exact 16gr , I think it has something to do with the head size as they just fall into the breech, but it loves the predators and yet they are made by jsb go figure. Rob
