Been a while since Ive been on here , just thought Id post some pictures of some little carbine rifles Ive made.
Both are based on pistol actions which I have added m4 paint ball stocks . Over here pistols are limited to 6ftlb so I have had to turn the power up to around 11ftlb. Ive looked online and you can buy the brocock pistols at full power on your side of the water .
Carbine 1 is a Falcon fn8 pistol in .177 power set at 10.5ftlb for 20 good shots , Carbine 2 is brocock grand prix in .22 and I get about 30 good shots at 11ftlb .
Both stocks are cheap tipmann m4 stocks, model 98 . Bought off china sellers on ebay for under $20 delivered .

I had to make a probe quick fill for the falcon as it was the old style 1/8 bsp fitting as standard and made a sling swivel to fit on the air tube

Both parts now anodized black .

And then made new cocking and pellet loading handles out of titanium which I anodized blue

Heres a couple of pictures of the brocock . Didn`t take too many pictures of this one and I sold it on last night as I`m going to buy the multi shot version to make a light weight Nv rig for rat shooting .

And the pair side by side .

Total length without moderators is around 600mm and weight unscoped just under 4lb .

Those are some sweet looking shooters!

Cheers fellas . They have made nice little guns . I`ll post some better pictures of the stock adaptors shortly . Just waiting on the stock to arrive from China and picking a multi shot pistol up next Saturday.
Heres my first 2 kills with the .177 . One at 25 yrds and one at 45 yrds .

What a beautiful pair of guns you have there. Nice to see them out in the field doing what they were designed for.

Cheers Dave :)
These are my favourite prey

And I shoot them with this gun which is a theoben rapid striped down to the bare bones to save weight . I`ll shave another pound off the weight with the pistol . Gets a bit heavy with the night vision after a few hours.

Dang! That is down right nekkid. Any less, and that would be an expensive blowdart gun.
-
The rapid weights 5lb dead un scoped and about 7lb with the NV on top . Ive fitted a 11" long x 12mm od barrel under the shroud sleeved in titanium to fit the block so the entire barrel and shroud weigh less than a standard barrel . Looks a bit ugly but it does the job :)
-
very nice shooters!
-
that rapid is a violent work of art!

Got my 6 shot grand prix pistol on Saturday . Didn`t bother firing a pellet through it before I took it to bits :)
Did mean to take more pictures but I got carried away with getting it finished :(

Nice guns,tools, and work.
Get yourself a quick change tool post for that lathe. It will save you some time. I didn't believe it at first but now I won't have a lathe without one.
-
Cheers Rescue ;)
Ive got a dixon quick change post kicking about just never got round to fitting it. I manage well enough with the old 4 tool post. The thing I really miss is my dro which both scales have gone up in smoke :( Ive not got round to replacing them as I never seam to have £300 spare and when I do I tend to buy another gun with the money . lol .
My next little project is a 2240 arrow gun . Might work or might not ? I`m not sure if I will get a decent enough power to lob the 100 grain crossbow pistol bolts but its a cheap gun so ideal to practice on and find the problems out.
