Reasembling my Huntsman Classic 177 FAC here in India. The pressure gauge housing shown in the lower photo in brass (which fits into the air tube of the pcp and on which the pressure gauge is fitted) as also the front valve assembly(shown in the upper photo on the muzzle face of the air tube)...are these both to be hand tightened or spanner tightened.i have otherwise finished the reassembly of my pcp...just clarifying this before i fill it up again.

The end fill part will need some teflon tape, and snugged with a wrench, the gauge should seal easier, with just hand tight + 1/4 turn, as there are oring seals to make a seal.
-
Hi...but the gauge has a tiny washer (yellow color visible in the photo)between the gauge brass body and the air tube.should even then a teflon be used?
-
Teflon tapes are normally used on tapered threads.
I’ve never bothered to use some on straight threads with O-rings or gaskets as sealants.

ok...so no need to teflon it.BTW can my Hills pump fill up my pcp ..from zero air pressure..as i reuse it after reassembly

Assembled my pcp.when trying to cock the gun to start filling it up again(from zero air) it wont cock..is this normal..or not.cocking would d help me refill from a hand pump.the trigger assembly was never removed during disassembly but i did push the hammer to lock with the breech while assembling the pcp ..where it did travel over the trigger sear.what can be the problem.can i fill it without cocking using the hand pump.

..Adding to my post..succesfully filled up the pcp from zero with the hills mk 3...its working fine now.attaching details the o rings/seals that were changed.BTW any better pressure gauge(manometer) with numerical markings which i can replace my stock gauge with..its a 23 mm dia gauge with1/8 BSP rear attachment.

May i also know if a regulator can be inserted in this PCP of mine...Huma says NO.any idea
