Title: TF-79 Competition Butt Plate
Post by: winchester on April 04, 2016, 03:59:16 PM
Couldn't afford FWB or Anschutz so turned to the supply of aluminum and delrin (with a small amount of inner tube thrown in).

The whole mechanism is adjustable for height, yaw (with the hook adjustable separately from the shoulder plate) and cant.  Each of the adjustments is secured with two set screws and to date, with a few thousand rounds fired, has never loosened.  Not pretty, but it has a certain amount of industrial attractiveness about it.  And, it works.

More later.

I like it!! function over form and IMHO when things are made to function well they usually look good!!! the ONLY thing I would change is maybe go to your local hardware store and pick up a thin aluminum plate then cover the end of the wood on the stock... but thats just purely cosmetic lol....
