I think the groups look great. I always shoot at 25 yards. My R7 does great and my R9 is not far behind. On the other hand my R1 looks like a shotgun pattern.I’ve never put a tuneup kit in any of my rifles but I ordered a Vortek kit for either my R7 or HW30s. I figured to start off small although I would really like to kit my R1.
“Regarding the 30. Make sure the foot on the cocking arm doesn't carve up the steel guide. I usually have to grind, radius and polish out the foot on the 30s and 50s when using the PG4 kits. Otherwise you'll have metal slivers in the compression tube. “I don’t have a grinder to change the radius on the foot. Probably all I can do is take any burrs off and polish with the dremal.
