A Slim 1100s Daisy Trunk Gun ?

I have a three Winchester 1100S springers -- they're heavy and big but there's super simple and they're powerful.
I'm wondering if I should take the one that is still boxed up, cut about 3" off the barrel, reinstall the front site, make a stock out of PVC pipe that slips over the tube body to take off lots of weight and greatly reduce the size and bulk. It would fit in a very slim soft shotgun case and would easily fit tucked away in the back of my Jeep. I would use only the factory iron sights to keep this package as thin and light as possible.
I like the fact of having a gun that for the most part requires very, very little maintenance, and is always at the ready.
After a good silicone oiling and friction points lubed. There is not much to do to this gun. The Iron sights are very good, the piston spring is under a light preload, and she is built like a tank.
Getting rid of some length and lots of girth would make easy storage. the gun being $54 makes it a "Why Not" kind of a thing ?
I want big no shoulder stock, just a simple ball that goes against your shoulder to keep the profile very slim so it does not have a typical gun stock profile.
Have any of you done this type of thing ? If this was a $100 or more gun I would not do it, but at its price point and it's very good quality, I think it could make a good thin, non bulky, yet powerful gun to have with me when I'm out in the boonies and find myself in an area I can shoot.
Just thinking out loud !!
