I’d find that a very useful velocity/energy range for plinking/small game out to about 40 yards…likely about 90% of the shooting I do sitting at home. IF it is already near your guessed at velocity, not needing a lot of tuning to get there, would almost have that ignormend corner of the PCP wold to itself.

My Gamo Arrow arrived this afternoon. I looked her over, read the manual and proceeded to fill her up to ~3200psi !The gun although made up almost all polymer is very solid, IT DOES NOT FEEL LIKE CHEAP GARBAGE ! The trigger is long but adjustable and smooth !I have 4 magazines loaded up - I'm starting out with 8 shots with CPHP's pellets, in the next magazine I have 5 Norma 17.6gr domes followed by 5 Daisy HP's. The 4th mag has 5 Norma 17.6gr'rs in her just get another reading after a few more shots.I started with 8 shots using CPHP's and will count the last 5 only for this test as the first 5 shots are in a new barrel and the gun needs at least a few shots to give me a very, very rough idea the velocity. The very first and very limited test with 3 pellets - 5 shots each - Starting ~3200 (The gauge is horrible). I will try to start her just under 232 bar (3300psi)FIRST TEST SHOTS1) 14.3gr CPHP's - Average 731fps 8 Shots2) 17.6gr Norma - Average 673fps 5 Shots3) 15.2gr Daisy HP's - Average 712fps 5 Shots4) 17.6gr Norma - Average 674fps 5 ShotsThe gun shot very very consistent from the 1st shot with the CPHP's going out around 730fps, it didn't fluctuate. The only time I had a problem is not closing the bolt properly all the way, it's a little tricky, you're gonna have to get used to it. As far as quiet, you will be hard pressed to find a stock gun quieter, it is Quiet !She is shooting a little above my guestiments, and it looks like velocity wise these pellets are very doable, and give me the energy I wantj at 35 - 45 yards - did not check for long range accuracy this go around, but at my 18 yards target all three pellets grouped in a zone of maybe the size of a dime. Will go out Friday morning to give her a better test. Will use CPHP's, Daisy HP's and then try Norma 17.6gr Domes, at 35 yards. Plan on shooting about 10 shots with all to get an idea of accuracy and a checkup on velocity.Well, after shooting today I "think" I would like to use the Crosman's as the general pellet for everyday shooting as I have buckets of them, they are cheap, have a pretty good BC, and at the 730+ fps I have 10.5fpe at 45 yards (Max distance I would shoot with this gun) -- all the poop that I need for this gun ----- if they are accurate at 35-40 yards --- Bingo ! I like the speed I'm getting and I like the energy that it still has at 35 to 45 yards. Now let's see if it shoots -- and lets see how the Norma and Daisy's shoot at that same range - will do this on Friday morning !Will report back :-)wll

Being so fast to swap I can do a tune for CPHP and the hades and switch back and forth for hunting vs plinking. Takes me less than 2 minutes to swap between the two tunes. A 2.5mm screw 10mm long to replace the factory one behind the trigger will allow you to lighten the pull weight and a few turns in on the screw in the trigger blade will shorten the first stage takeup.

Smaller port and heavier spring puts me at 910fps with CPHP or swap the to larger port and same spring is 907fps with hades. 3 shots standing open sights braced against a tree at 15 yards with the Crosman pellets. I zero my squirrel guns just like I typically shoot while hunting.

ALSO --- The four screws you unscrew to get to the spring i assume are the ones that are visible on the left side of the guns receiver ?Thanks Troy, wll
