Earlier this week nutters came back to the bird feeder buffet after being absent for some time. I had the opportunity to take one down and that same day while having lunch with the wife I saw another one on the bird feeder, but the wife does not approve of me pesting nutters so he got a pass. I've been expecting him back and sure enough he showed up today. I go to my second story snipers hide, set up on the desk with a pillow rest and start scoping him. This one is a bit more twitchy and jumpy than his previous compadres. I even noticed at one point when he stood up to munch on the seeds his foot tapping and arms shaking - never seen that. Anyway, I'm putting crosshairs on him and he keeps moving off of my aim so I decide that at my next opportunity, Im gonna let one fly fast. On his next stand on the top fence rail, he looks to my left giving me another great profile and I squeeze the trigger. This time I hear the thwack distinctly and he tumbles back off the fence. Just like the last nutter, entry below the ear and exit same on the other side. The Urban and CPUMD are doing a great job punching through skull and grey matter cleanly for a quick kill. At 19 yards its not much of a challenge with the Urban and Hawke off a bench, but I need to remind the nutters the hard way that the seeds are for the birds, not them.

Good kill shot.
I'm sure if others in the area were to see what happens when they steal your bird seed, they may think twice before doing so.

Arturo, excellent shot! Keep protecting that “bird” feeder...don’t them nutters know it’s not a nutter buffet!?

Thanks guys. The bird feeder has been attracting quite a few birds lately including cardinals, blue jays, mockingbirds and small grey and white ones, not sure what they are. Their food MUST be protected!
