Got my 880 back! The 880 is a legend to me!

I've had like 3 by now, IDK what happened to #2, but #3 I gave away to a guy to get him into the hobby. So this is my original Walmart purchased 880 with scope!
Anyway what a great little rifle! The cheapest possible of everything, all plastic, but packs a hefty punch, capable of nearly 8 foot pounds with the right pellets and just dead on accurate if you stick to pellets only (which I do, religiously). I haven't gotten to shoot it again yet and I also got back my Crosman 1077, and home made backpacker, 1322 with 14" barrel and stock. I plan to shoot all three again today. Luckily when I got them back I got a couple tins of .22 and one 500 tin full of .177 wadcutter pellets.
Anyway something about the cheap dead simplicity of this pumper gun, yet its a serious tool and capable of pesting or very small game at short range, just really appeals to me. Absolutely do love my other guns too, but a Daisy 880 will probably always live in my collection of airguns, cuz you really can't go wrong with that $35 purchase!
Also is it true now, that Daisy owns Crosman? Not sure that's a good thing, if so...
avator:
Yep, sad but true.
I sure hope they don't make a Daisyman. :o
airgunaut:
The 880 now costs $60 with that scope, but I agree the rifle is surprisingly good!
I got so hooked that half a year later I added an air pistol, and after about another half year a second air rifle. Love all three.
Have fun again!

I wonder how well it would shoot lead balls? Might make loading easier, pellets are hard to load, but then might not shoot as well?
