Reusing an ice cream box by trimming the flap so it will swing back when a pellet smacks it. Or maybe the pellet will hole it and the back of the box before releasing the flap to swing forward again. I’ll have to secure the box to a chunk of wood so it stays in place when smacked.

I use a baked beans tin hanging on a bit of wire . Lasts for a good while.

I use beer cans. The pull tabs work great for hanging them. Shooting them is almost as fun as emptying them. ;)

The ice cream box didn’t swing the flap. It moved a little bit at most. Even the low-speed shots from the P3 pierced both front and back of the box fast enough that they left neat little wadcutter holes without disturbing the flap.
I later hung a 12 oz can from its tab, using a long twist tie held by a binder clip to a metal pellet trap’s edge plate. That one swung nicely.
