Sheridan front sight question
(1/1)
YEMX:
I have a Racine C series Sheridan in .20. I know this will probably be blasphemous, but I would like to use a globe front sight. I've always had a hard time with the thin front sights on Benji's and Dans. Would it be possible to have a brass dovetail base installed, so that I can mount a globe sight? I would be able to send the globe sight along with the rifle... I've been wanting to do a full Steroid build, and feel a globe sight would be a good addition... I would of course be using a Williams rear sight.

I think the front sight base width may be wide enough to mount a globe. It would need to be fairly small/short to stay low enough.

YEMX:
I was thinking of using a Lyman front globe sight... Per the website, the description of the dovetail is: "The dovetail base measures .377" dovetail, .105" deep, and .531" wide". Would that size be okay to use?
If not, what globe sight would you suggest? Thanks for your time Tim!!
TimmyMac1:
The width of the front sight is a little over .350" so it is no way wide enough for anything but the thinnest globe dovetails around.
