Get the steel charging handle from Pitbull, even at stock power the aluminum handle will start to oval the pivots.
The 145g bullets from gt bullets shoot really well. They're almost as nice as nosler in my gun. I also bought some 148g wadcutters that do pretty good to about 35y or a bit over, I've only tried the wadcutters to about 36y. The steel cocking lever and the power spring add performance but the power spring gives a bit harsher shot cycle. All in all I think the bulldog is one of the best universal big bores. It's not overpowered and bulky so it can be happy in some urban settings. Enjoy your new gun, I really like mine.
If I remember correctly my bullets were 356. I havent tried different sizes so it could get better or worse depending on the gun. I had read that 356 was what the older Bulldogs liked so that's what I bought. The bullets shoot well so who knows. I've only hunted raccoons and paper targets with it so I'm not sure on the greatness for hunting with them. The gt bullets really save a ton of $ when shooting targets though. I order them un lubed. Dont want the lube all over everything when it gets warm out.
