i thought that weihrauch produces their barrels in their own factory.
Wow - project is continuing. I haven`t own yet faster TR barrels but In according of my experiences :1. Slug barrels can not be choked Sorry Peter but that is just not true... has been done for a long time in .22lr... I personally have a 1950's choked Beretta .22lr barrel(Very close relation to the SuperSport rifle)... and has been done by me and others here with with PCPs with varying success...there are issues to be sure but most of the time solutions can be found...2. Small engraved channels on slugs with much less/smaller volume/content of air and therefore smaller air turbulenece are better. Well yes for the most part that is my philosophy also but matters most at more extreme ranges... closer range not as much... it has been around since before Harry Pope was making Barrels...But it is the base of the round that is most important it is what steers the round the most... A short rebated boat tail goes a long way into mitigating that problem... IMO...3. Wiehrauch barrels are engraving much smaller/narrov channels on slugs and pellets and they seems to be best for slugs... If I am right Wiehrauch barrels are also produicing at LW factory. Is it possible to order it too with faster/custum TRs at LW factory ? Bob, They was/are? two types of .177 Piledrivers 1. body size 4,46mm2. body size 4,5mmHead size is about 4,53 mm
...it just might have been better just a little shorter and a little lighter (lets say 17grains) to be liked by more standard twist barrels.
