Harp,Usually you hear of people going the other way...Could you tighten your barrel pivot more?-Y
I've seen a couple hw30s where accuracy and consistency suffered from weak/inconsistent barrel lockup due to a squishy detent spring. I have pro tuned guns where the spring was replaced and the lock up is quite firm, so I know the spring can be replaced. But I could find no online info or examples of do-it-youself tuners swapping this spring. R
Another thought - my Diana 34 was intermittently shooting low. I discovered the rear stock screw was working loose. A bit of VibraTite VC-3 solved the problem.

I'm sure your right and can change it with the proper tools, I just dont have them. Got more or less the same info over on "network54'". It was just so intermittent, it was a real chore tracking it down. Catch a cold shot, turn right around, literally, and send 10 through the chrony and get an ES 5! Huh? Evertime I tried the tissue test, passed with flying colors. Anyway, maybe slightly overtightening the pivot bolt is the answer, sure was easy enough. I certainly hope so, 'cause when it's right, its a 40 yard laser beam, and with several size pellets! And that never happens to me!
