Has anyone tried using one of the screw in type studs on the synthetic stock? There seems to be a flat spot on the stock near the butt that looks like it might be there for just this purpose but was never utilized by Gamo. What do you guys think? Has anyone tried drilling there? Some pics...

I'd be a little concerned about using a self-tapping thread into the synthetic material of the stock. That said, Harley batwing fairings use a self tapping bushing in 1/4" X 20 thread to tap into their ABS outer fairing, and from there a standard Tork screw secures the two fairing halves. In general, it has worked out well...and for extra safety, one could actually use epoxy on the threads. I don't know if the strap fittings are available in that particular thread, just throwing the idea out there for mulling around.

Id just go with a Gamo slip on sling. Works fine, inexpensive, and you dont have to alter the gun.

I remember watching a vid on Youtube where some guy put a bipod on a break barrel. He used a sling stud and cut off the part that screwed in past the inside part of the stock.
So...doable.
