Not sure if it needs any other work. Jim Gaska did mine, but I know Doug does them too.I thought TJ fabricated a drop in barrel, might be wrong though. I remember seeing a 257 tj barrel on the R&L websiteThey don't offer it anymore since you can get a 257 Texan from them. I believe they were taking the tj barrel and modding it. TJ doesn't make a drop in.I tried to order one from R&L and that's how I know they aren't doing them anymore.

Is their barrel ready for a Condor blank?
The 10" twist TJ's should work for most of the heavy flat-based bullets in .257 cal.... I had Mike make me a 7" twist because I have Bob's Boattails in 101 and 113 gr. and the theory is that the won't work in a 10", but will in a 7-8".... Once we close the Motel in 2021 and I have time to shoot, I'll find out....Bob
If you have Jim Gaska machine it, you can tell him what you want and he can handle the order from TJ's.
Just a note here so I can follow along. I can speak to Doug's work, Talon Tunes, and Jim, all top notch. And as noted the TJ's barrels have been proven time and time again. A couple of the first truly long range shots I saw were around the "Pepsi Challenge" where a coupe of the guys shot 12 oz soda cans full one for the pop, first at 300 =, then 600+. and so on. They along with Doug who supplied the barrels, valves hammers springs and other miscellaneous parts and when he had time built a few of these bullet shooters shook up the "long range" air gun distance records several years back.CaseyP.S. My apologizes to anyone I may have left out, running on memory early in the morning here.
Doug worked all night last night so probably will come home and sleep today so don't expect a quick response.
If you can get the bottle off you can drill it and retap it. Had to do my texan. Doug will know what size you need to tap it. Airforce guns are fairly easy to take apart. If just changing barrels you need to remove the forestock and the top and bottom screws on the frame. Then it will slide right out. Oh yeah loc tite them back in. Dont ask me why lol.
