OK- While back I posted I just got one, well in the past many, many years, have had many makes, all springers, they hadn’t came up with anything but co2’s and springers in those days, well , here’s my feelings and take on. My. Hornet, and how I feel about it after round 3,000 rounds or so, I started out with different scope, as I shoot a lot of 50 yards and over, a center point 6+20+50 ,good scope, the RRR rail seems to work as advertised, happy with it, the shock absorbing butt pad (soft adjustable, sort of) real nice, replaced the rear trigger adjusting screw with longer one, so now no slack or free move in trigger, pulls around 2 pounds or so, I like it, the balance and. Weight of the gun I like real well, My particular gun likes a very tight hold for groups, not real picky on pellets but likes the 22 cal crosman ultra magnum best of the 10 different pellets I have shot, there may be others, but I can’t afford any more testing funds, as it is at 30 yards can hold 1 inch groups, and I am satisfied with that, not a tack driver, I like the IGT piston, cocks different, feels like a 22magnum rifle when shoot (I really like the feel) does not have the springer after shot residual vibration or feel, again like a real 22 magnum, So I can’t think of much else to add,I really like it, good balance, made well, quiet, shoots good enough for me, not real costly, looks nice.
So. There Ya Go

I have .177 both IGT and spring version. Agree with you on most part. My groups are not as tight as yours, gets to close to 1" at 17 yards. Sometimes I gets better with very tight gripping, something artillery, sometimes with a hold on sling.
It is on the louder side for the spring but as accurate as it version.

Bought my brother the spring version when Midway had them for like $45 shipped.
Tore it down, deburred the tube, smoothed the piston and compression chamber, polished the spring ends, made a spring sleeve, put on a arh seal. Used arh moly to relube it and added a longer trigger screw. The gun is stupid accurate with .177 h&n sniper mediums, did a 5 shot group well under a dime at 30 yds and had a 8 fps es last Chrono over 10 shots.
For the price it's a great gun. Doesn't feel as nice as a high end gun. But for a hunter it's perfect
