Cameron and Motorhead just made some great .25 air pistols using I think that new Chinese air rifle. Deadly accurate. 25 shots at around 650fps if memory serves. Send Scott a pm..
I've been conversing with Monkeydad1969... He's also built a .30 pistol- essentially what I'm building. Just a different caliber. My main concern is being able to push those 70 grain pills to around 70-80 fpe for 2-3 shots. I'm not sure I can do that w/just a 16" main tube- that's only what, 65cc's of air? Joe is shooting 44 gr .30 pellets averaging a touch over 90 fpe for 3 shots. So I might be good... The 70 gr slugs are the 7 ring Barnes slugs that were all the rage years ago on the Talon Airgun Forum... I have a mold. I'm not sure if they'll even stabilize at 70 fpe... I know Tony was tuning his old AAA Condors to around 90 fpe back in the day, and these were devastating and accurate. I think the LW .25 barrels are 1-17 twist (and they were 24" long too!), but I'm wondering if the 1-14 will be enough to stabilize that slug? I guess I'll just have to try it out and see!
