Well it looks like I have confirmation from Crosman that my Maximus wasn’t well and that a replacement is in order. Looks like they are shipping a couple boxes of pellets too. I hope they tape them over the bolt probe handle so it doesn’t get damaged again I have been wondering if I could get a 48ci tank regulated to 1800psi that I could fill to 2400psi with my hand pump. This would give me 4 fills or so and would make the 3k burst disk on the 1800psi reg a non issue. Then I could get a 13ci tank regulated to 1200-1500psi which has a 1.8k burst disk to tether to. I could adjust this regulator myself where I would probably purchase the 48ci tank already regulated. May I assume that the Ninja microbore remote with slide check would both tether from the 13ci tank and fill from the 48ci tank ?Thanks again for everyone’s help !

Quote I have been wondering if I could get a48ci tank regulated to 1800psi that I could fill to 2400psi with my hand pump.THAT would be a work out. It is not just the PSI but the VOLUME of air you would be hand pumping to get there.Typically a hand pump has a duty cycle of about 50 strokes before the cool down period is needed. Other wise it is detrimental to the seals. My Maxi from 1000psi to 2000psi is just at 50 strokes. That is a lot less volume than a 48ci tank. I can not imagine the last 100 strokes (2 sesions) fighting over 2000psi of force to open the valve. (I am 55 and not in the best of shape, but no couch potatoe either, 170 lbs) ExpertHPA has the regulator for the 48ci paintball tank in 1600, 1800, and 2000 psi. Just call Joe B. (the Airgun Scientist) and he will set you up. http://experthpa.com/cart/cart.php?m=product_list&c=7 BUT I would be looking for a Paintball shop near you to get the tank filled. Talkin $3 or so and BOOM you are good for many fills of either the gun or a 13ci tank if you choose. Now if you have a 48ci tank regged to 1800psi to fill the gun straight or teather to, what is the need for the smaller tank? Here is the Ninja fill station I got.
Quote from: Dbez1 on May 29, 2018, 11:15:04 PMGo to Walmart and get some ultra cheap aspirin tablets. Your new Maximus should do a number on them between 20 and 35 yards. It’s lots cheaper than buying a new gun just to shoot up the box. I bought a half dozen self resetting silhouette targets that keep me plinking away but I really want to get better at the paper target end of it. I noticed you have a Disco spring in your Maximus. Is that for a more stable shot count ? Thanks !

Less shots per fill though.
