Harvesting your number for Spam Calls? In these heady days of new technology, caller ID spoofing, etc., who knows what could happen. More than likely just your normal CL flakey Sellers who don't give a S about returning your call if their item has already sold.
https://www.craigslist.org/about/prohibitedI sold a fridge on CL and posted I'd trade for things that go bang and it got rejected.
Whenever I buy or sell on CL I do it away from my house, usually at a busy McDonald's or Walmart parking lot.
CL seems to attract flakes, both buyers & sellers. They don't require any membership like fleabay, so who knows who you are dealing with. That said, I have found some good deals on CL and also dealt with plenty of flakes too. Whenever I buy or sell on CL I do it away from my house, usually at a busy McDonald's or Walmart parking lot. The prohibition on selling AG's seems to be hit & miss...I think it depends on readers flagging the post as "prohibited", I doubt if anyone from CL is screening the posts.
Just sold a 17" canoe after a 4 day listing... helped pay for air rifles..

When arranging a CL meet for something that seems worth the setup, the loading zone between the doors at a Walmart supercenter is my preferred location. It has more camera coverage than the Pentagon!
